Steve “The Dragon” Claggett (born June 11, 1989 in Calgary, Alberta) is a Canadian super-lightweight boxer known for his relentless pressure, grit, and heart.
He discovered boxing at age 13, using it as an outlet for his energy, and quickly developed a passion for the sport. Fighting in an orthodox stance, Claggett stands 5'8" with a 70" reach and has built a reputation as a tough, aggressive inside fighter. Since turning pro in 2008, he’s compiled a record of 39 wins, 8 losses, and 2 draws, with 27 wins by knockout.
He has claimed regional titles including the Canadian and NABF light-welterweight belts. In June 2024, Claggett earned his first world title shot against WBO champion Teofimo Lopez, going the full 12 rounds in a courageous but losing effort.
Still active and determined, Claggett continues to pursue elite opportunities, motivated by a deep love for the sport and a fire that hasn’t dimmed.
